On Friday 29th August 2025, Kingsbridge Town Council’s most excellent Town Clerk, Martin Johnson, left for retirement. Town Mayor Julia Wingate, Councillors present and past, staff, and locals gathered on Quay House Lawn to wish him all the best and thank him for his hard work and dedication over the last 21 years. Martin truly made Kingsbridge a better town to work and live in – he will be sadly missed!! He leaves the reins in the safe hands of new Town Clerk, Katharine Harrod.
