This year the South Devon town of Kingsbridge has won top accolades at both the RHS national and regional level in the Britain in Bloom competitions.

At the national awards held at the Headquarters of the RHS, Lindley Hall, Westminster they received a gold medal, best national horticultural achievement award as well as the chairman, Graham Price being recognised with a prestigious  RHS Community Champion Award. The group have also received  a gold medal, SWTA  Trophy and group winner in the small town category at the recently held regional awards held in Crewkerne, Somerset.

Graham Price chairman : “The RHS Britain in Bloom is the largest horticultural competition  in Europe and brings together communities who work to improve their environment and to recognise the importance that horticulture can bring to improve  health and wellbeing. Kingsbridge has been completely transformed over the past few years with wonderful floral displays and outstanding sustainable planting which has helped keep our town attractive and vibrant throughout the year. Our shopkeepers, local businesses and town Council recognise the importance of our work which is very much appreciated and gives our dedicated group the incentive to maintain our high standard for everyone to enjoy.”
