POLICE ENQUIRY OFFICE KINGSBRIDGE

The Town Council was delighted to receive the news on 10th March from Alison Hernandez, Police & Crime Commissioner for Devon & Cornwall, that Kingsbridge Police Station has been selected as one of 6 stations which will have its front desk/enquiry office re-opening in 2023/24.  This will provide greater visibility and improve the accessibility of the Police to the local community.

Annual Town Meeting – Saturday 4th March 2023

It is a mandatory requirement for town and parish councils to hold an Annual Town Meeting for their local residents between March and June.  The purpose of the meeting is to provide the opportunity for electors to receive reports on local council business and to discuss community matters.

The Annual Town Meeting 2023 for Kingsbridge residents, similar to previous years, is being held as a drop-in session between 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon on Saturday 4th March in the Town Square during the Farmers Market.

This is a great opportunity to chat to your Town Councillors, offer up your own good ideas, come up to speed with the latest news and get that nagging issue ‘off your chest’.

How will the Town Council spend its portion of your council tax next financial year 2023/24 (retained at £88.21 for a Band D property)?  How are plans for a new skatepark progressing?  Is there any more tree planting in the pipeline?  How do YOU become a Town Councillor in the forthcoming local elections in May?

Kingsbridge Town Council is the local authority closest to Kingsbridge residents.  It is consulted on almost everything that happens in the Kingsbridge community and is responsible for a wide range of public realm business in the town.  We keep repeating it but whether you are at work, rest or play the Town Council is probably involved somewhere to a greater or lesser degree.  Town Councillors will be available to talk to you about topical matters and take your questions.

Please pop the date and time in your diaries and phones.  See you on the 4th.
