On Saturday 21st September 2019, as part of a weekend of celebrations to commemorate Salcombe RNLI 150th Anniversary, a statue measuring 1.3m high and 1.3m wide of the first lifeboat the Rescue, which was launched from Dodbrooke Quay 150 years ago to the day, was unveiled at The Quay car park in Kingsbridge by HRH The Duke of Kent.
